Did you know that @iheartyoga_org is one of the founding supporters of the @rancho.hermosa.orphanage that opened in September of last year? They now house about 20 abused, abandoned, or orphaned kids between the ages of 5-13! #RanchoHermosa is run family style, with two sets of house parents; couples that live with the kids, and raise them as brothers and sisters.

We are headed to Mexico March 29-31st for another one of our super fun yoga retreats! In addition to the ocean view rooms, raw food cooking class, multiple yoga classes, and pool time, we are also taking an afternoon to visit the orphanage! To see the facility’s and play with the kids! Meet the lovely and talented @kristian_skorstad!!
This babe fell in love with yoga at a very young age, and got certified to teach when she was only a senior in highschool!! (Don’t we all wish we had found yoga then!!) She has backpacked Europe twice, and her dream is to scuba dive in the Great Barrier Reef! She brings her passion for life and love for her yoga practice into her teaching, and it shows! Her classes are creative, her music choice will transport you, and with wisdom well beyond her years, you will leave her class feeling empowered and alive!

#Ashtanga is a dynamic method of choreographed sequences of postures linked with breath. Students will learn portions of primary series. The full sequence is meant to be learned gradually. This is the perfect fit for beginners and more experienced yoga students who want to learn primary series. We begin with the sun salutations, followed by standing asanas, and hip openers. We then conclude class with back bending and calming closing sequence. The focus of class is slightly varied each week to accentuate certain postures.

#MyFlow class is meant to push your physical and emotional edges at your own pace. My Flow class is an energetic and challenging Vinyasa-style class. Students will learn a series of 3 flows and empowered to flow at their own tempo. Once warm you will begin in come into challenging postures. There is always an element of play as we remember to breathe and trust in ourselves. This class is about strengthening not only the body but the mind, your most valuable tool.

1st weekend of #TeacherTraining down! And what a powerful weekend it was! These women opened their hearts, shared, cried, laughed, learned new things, made new friends.... and we’ve just barley scratched the surface! .
