Jamie Hanson a life-long athlete, found yoga while living in Guatemala. The freedom yoga brought to the body soon translated into the heart and the mind. Yoga completely transformed the way that she related to others and most importantly how she related to herself.
Jamie began teaching in 2009 and since then has taught over 2000 hours of yoga asana. She has studied with many different teachers including Seane Corn, Hala Khouri, Jessica Jennings and Julian Walker. Jamie is a leader for Off the Mat, Into the World® and a certified prenatal yoga teacher through Ma Yoga®. In addition, Jamie is a Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher Trainer and the creator of the Empowered Yoga Teacher Training™.
Jamie’s classes focus on safety and alignment, but also invite people to explore and sit with the sensations that arise as they move with their breath. She believes in an integrative practice that includes the mind, heart and the body, ultimately giving students a way to connect more deeply to their soul’s purpose. Students leave her class feeling strong, invigorated, and restored.
