Carissa Dale took her first yoga class while going to college in Santa Barbara. After graduating she moved home and began to pursue a second degree in nursing. While working in the emergency room, she started taking yoga regularly in order to relax after long hours at work and could feel the changes in all aspects of her life. Not only did she notice the improvement in her ability to better work with patients but the overall happiness that comes from practicing such a beautiful art form. In 2013, she became a Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructor through 200 HR training through Tamal School of Yoga. Carissa believes healing can happen in so many forms but it is important to take time to recharge and heal yourself through listening to your body and mind. She finds the most joy in life comes from helping others and if she can help people find that happiness that comes from practicing yoga, then she has truly succeeded in a deeper form of healing.
